Challenge
SnapLogic initially joined Strategic Blue on our Accelerate model, which allowed for tailored cloud vendor commitments, ranging from 3 to 36 months, at a more favorable price than they could achieve directly from the cloud vendor. This solution worked very well for the first couple of years of the relationship. However, as SnapLogic’s growth continued, they needed to spend less time thinking about their cloud FinOps journey, and more time thinking about their core business objectives.
SnapLogic wanted to rely on our team to make cost optimization decisions on their behalf so they could spend more time on growing their business. They also needed a solution that meant that they could easily track and understand their spending. This led us to migrate Snaplogic onto our Automate product, which ticked all the boxes for SnapLogic, delivering hands-off savings in an automated way.
Results
The first month that SnapLogic moved onto our Automate model delivered fantastic results. SnapLogic increased their monthly savings significantly, which will result in a total saving of ~$1,200,000 per annum. This drastic increase in automated savings was brilliant, and the reduction of time and effort to implement these savings was given back to the SnapLogic team. This enables them to continue their growth and success in the application integration market.

Solution
SnapLogic and Strategic Blue have always had a very transparent and honest partnership. This continued when we were mapping out the best product to migrate SnapLogic onto. Through a number of workshops between SnapLogic and Strategic Blue, we ironed out exactly what was most important for SnapLogic. This included what they wanted to achieve, and how Strategic Blue was best placed to support that success. Through the workshops, we were able to guide SnapLogic onto our Automate model which was the perfect solution for them.
The Strategic Blue Automate solution completely takes the cost of effort and time away from the customer, and instead, the FinOps solution is delivered in a seamless and hands-off way. Through the Automate model, SnapLogic no longer has to think about their cloud roadmap, or make individual commitments. Instead, Strategic Blue will put the most appropriate mix of discounting models in place on behalf of SnapLogic, allowing them to focus their attention on their core business objectives.
